So this is the sixth fire from this same Fatwood stick and we’re going to use the QUICK-FIRE SURVIVE, survival kit.
It’s a larger version of the QUICK-FIRE Striker. The SURVIVE has two compartments for survival items.
You can you use your fatwood stick to bounce the Sparks back onto the fatwood fluff. We were at 20 strikes after fire #5 and here we go, 21 22. You see 24. 25. The first little thing that I did there wasn’t really a strike, just kind of moved my hand.
This fatwood will start quite quickly. Look at the sap in it, Actually it is the pitch and that resin is already melted with a little bit of fire. Not every fatwood stick is exactly the same. They’re all different, but they’re all from the stumps that are rich in the resin. Hence, they are fat wood.
